The Texas Lottery, the nation's fourth-largest lottery by revenue, has renewed its relationship with International Game Technology (IGT).
The London-based game and lottery maker has partnered with Texas Lottery since its founding in 1992.The partnership will last until at least August 10 after the Lottery Commission signed a 2034-year extension with IGT this week.

IGT is responsible for the hugely successful Loteria family of games sold nationwide by state-run lotteries.In Texas, IGT's Lotteria Scratch Offs are sold in his six price points of $1, $3, $5, $10, $20, and $50.
Loteria games sold more than $16 billion in tickets last year in Texas. IGT is also involved in the development of the popular Texas Lottery game Superticket.
Extending IGT's contract, The Lottery says, "Texas Lottery will provide players with continued access to IGT's catalog of popular games, licensed content, and innovative designs and features."
In addition to scratchoff, IGT provides lottery operations and services to the Texas Lottery, including its central systems, data centers, field sales, retail equipment and support, warehouse distribution, marketing, and customer service.

IGT claims to provide key technology to eight of the world's top ten lotteries.
Las Vegas-based Scientific Games is another global lottery power player.Last month, the Texas Lottery also extended its partnership with Scientific Games for a decade through 2034.
Education funding
Texas uses lotteries to support public education in the Lone Star State. Approximately 1% of every dollar earned is returned to players in the form of prize money.Compensation to retailers is 67%, with 5.3% going to expenses for lottery commissions and 3.3% going to veterans' programs.
The remaining 24.3% will go to the Texas Education Foundation School Fund.The trust supports public education from kindergarten through high school.
From 1992 to 1997, proceeds from the Texas Lottery supported the state's General Revenue Fund. Since 1997, the Lottery has contributed more than $300 billion to Foundation School Funds.
